L'\u00c9glise pentec\u00f4tiste unie internationale compte environ un million de membres aux \u00c9tats-Unis et au Canada, pour la premi\u00e8re fois dans l'histoire de l'organisation, selon les r\u00e9sultats de l'enqu\u00eate sur la population de l'\u00c9glise pentec\u00f4tiste unie. 2023 Enqu\u00eate aupr\u00e8s des pasteurs<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lors d'un symposium organis\u00e9 en f\u00e9vrier par Urshan Graduate School of Theology<\/a>David K. Bernard, surintendant g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de l'UPCI, a pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 une analyse de la croissance de l'UPCI et a \u00e9tabli des comparaisons avec les Assembl\u00e9es de Dieu, qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 reconnues comme l'une des d\u00e9nominations \u00e0 la croissance la plus rapide en Am\u00e9rique. Bien que les Assembl\u00e9es de Dieu aient \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9es pr\u00e8s de trois d\u00e9cennies avant l'UPCI, le Dr Bernard a mis en \u00e9vidence un parall\u00e8le frappant entre les taux de croissance des deux organisations.

Mesurer la croissance aujourd'hui<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n

Pour les besoins de l'enqu\u00eate, l'UPCI d\u00e9finit circonscription<\/em> comme les participants r\u00e9guliers plus le groupe plus large des personnes qui s'identifient \u00e0 une \u00e9glise locale, y compris celles qui ne la fr\u00e9quentent qu'irr\u00e9guli\u00e8rement ou pas du tout, mais qui s'identifient \u00e0 une \u00e9glise (par exemple, appellent \u00e0 la pri\u00e8re, demandent des soins pastoraux, sont inscrites sur une liste de diffusion, etc.) Cette approche du calcul du nombre total d'\u00e9lecteurs est conservatrice par rapport aux m\u00e9thodes utilis\u00e9es par d'autres confessions chr\u00e9tiennes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L'une des mesures cl\u00e9s utilis\u00e9es pour \u00e9valuer la croissance de l'UPCI est la fr\u00e9quentation, qui donne une image de l'engagement de la congr\u00e9gation. L'enqu\u00eate r\u00e9v\u00e8le que l'assistance combin\u00e9e de toutes les \u00e9glises de l'UPCI en 2023 d\u00e9passe les 475 000 personnes pour les services hebdomadaires r\u00e9guliers, avec des pointes annuelles d\u00e9passant les 750 000 personnes. Les participants typiques sont des personnes qui assistent r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement aux services. Il s'agit du noyau dur de la congr\u00e9gation qui participe r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement au culte, \u00e0 la communion fraternelle et \u00e0 d'autres activit\u00e9s. Le pic de fr\u00e9quentation est le nombre le plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 de personnes assistant \u00e0 un service \u00e0 un moment donn\u00e9, g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement lors de f\u00eates sp\u00e9ciales cibl\u00e9es (par exemple, P\u00e2ques, la f\u00eate des m\u00e8res et No\u00ebl).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Augmenter la fr\u00e9quentation du dimanche<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n

L'une des tendances les plus notables identifi\u00e9es dans l'enqu\u00eate est la croissance constante observ\u00e9e dans les \u00e9glises locales de l'UPCI. Les rapports indiquent une augmentation r\u00e9guli\u00e8re de l'assistance, la m\u00e9diane de l'assistance hebdomadaire typique passant de 60 \u00e0 67, et la m\u00e9diane de l'assistance maximale passant de 97 \u00e0 103. La m\u00e9diane est la valeur moyenne d'un ensemble de donn\u00e9es, c'est-\u00e0-dire que 50 % des \u00e9glises interrog\u00e9es en 2023 ont d\u00e9clar\u00e9 une assistance hebdomadaire r\u00e9guli\u00e8re d'au moins 67 personnes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L'enqu\u00eate 2023 sur les pasteurs principaux marque la troisi\u00e8me ann\u00e9e cons\u00e9cutive de collecte de donn\u00e9es. En recueillant activement des informations aupr\u00e8s des \u00e9glises locales, le d\u00e9partement Recherche et D\u00e9veloppement de l'UPCI contribue \u00e0 assurer une repr\u00e9sentation exacte des statistiques sur les membres de l'organisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
