The Book of Acts continues in the twenty-first century. UPCI Missionaries James and Elizabeth Corbin report that approximately 11,000 people were filled with the Holy Spirit during a three-day conference in Khulna, Bangladesh, and approximately 5,000 people were miraculously healed.

“The glory of the Lord was manifest in a magnitude we have never seen before,” the Corbins said.

The conference, which was held October 13-15, 2022, was the culmination of a very exciting two-month period for the United Pentecostal Church of Bangladesh. In late August 2022, the UPC of Bangladesh hosted a three-day evangelistic conference in North Bengal where 6,500 people received the Holy Spirit and 2,900 were healed.

In total, 17,500 people received the Holy Spirit and approximately 6,900 were healed during these two events.

A team of ministers from North America, Spain, and India, along with leaders and members of the church in Bangladesh, helped organize and lead the conferences.

Revival in Bolivia

At approximately the same time, UPCI missionaries James and Stacey Marse were hosting an evangelistic conference in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. Three Spanish-speaking pastors from California traveled south to preach at this event, which drew record-breaking crowds at every service. A total of 101 people received the Holy Spirit during the conference, including 33 children during a Sunday School class.

The October 14-16, 2022, conference was an especially significant event for the church in Bolivia, according to the Marses.

“We have never had more than sixty people receive the Holy Ghost in a calendar year in the district,” they noted. “For us to have that many in one weekend is really extraordinary.”
