Compassion Sunday
The death toll from the February 6 earthquake that devastated Turkiye and Syria now exceeds 47,000, and more than 3.5 million people have been displaced from their homes. Compassion Services International, the humanitarian outreach ministry of the UPCI, is collecting funds to provide food, water, and basic hygiene to victims of this disaster. To assist with such efforts, the UPCI has designated February 26 as Compassion Sunday. We encourage every church to collect an offering to support the work CSI is doing in Turkiye, Syria, and around the globe.
Your church will receive Global Missions giving credit for your Compassion Sunday offering. Make checks payable to Compassion Services International and note “Compassion Sunday” in the memo portion. You can mail your Compassion Sunday offering to:

Thank you for supporting Compassions Services International and showing the love of Jesus to those who are suffering.
Appreciation Sunday
Appreciation Sunday is an initiative that connect churches with their communities. We have honored first responders, civil servants, educators, and entrepreneurs. Many honorees, along with family members and colleagues, have been introduced to the Apostolic message through this initiative. City officials have attended these services honoring those who make a positive impact on the lives of others. The Appreciation Sunday initiative has served to create common ground and ignite interest in the church from area residents.
Appreciation Sunday is designated on the second Sunday in September. The date for 2023 is Sunday, September 10. For more information on how to get started, visit appreciationsunday.upci.org or email the coordinator, Micheal Mitchell, at appreciationsundayatupci@gmail.com.
