More than 30,000 people already have registered to attend North American Youth Congress, putting the July 26-28 conference on pace to once again be the largest in the event’s history.
NAYC 2023 is scheduled to be held in St. Louis, Missouri, at The Dome at America’s Center and the St. Louis Convention Center. NAYC 2019, which also was held in St. Louis, drew a record attendance of more than 36,000 students and adults. (NAYC 2021 was a virtual event due to COVID-19 restrictions.)
UPCI Youth Ministries organizes the bi-annual three-day conference that draws students from across North America and around the globe. Youth Ministries President Michael Thomas calls NAYC “more than an event.”
“Specifically for our teenagers and young adults, NAYC is where callings are realized, ministries are confirmed, and laborers are activated to go out into the harvest,” Thomas said. “We believe what God is doing and is going to do in this hour will be greater than anything we have experienced before.”
Thomas’ words echo the NAYC 2023 theme “Glory,” a reference to Haggai 2:9, which says, “The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts: and in this place will I give peace.”
NAYC worship services will begin at 7:30 pm Central, with special sessions and seminars beginning at 9:30 am on Thursday and Friday. The complete schedule is available at northamericanyouthcongress.com/#schedule.
Featured speakers will include Anthony Mangun, UPCI General Superintendent Dr. David K. Bernard, recording artist and worship leader James Wilson, and Youth Ministries President Michael Thomas. Visit northamericanyouthcongress.com/#speakers to see the full lineup of speakers.
On Friday at 2 pm, students will have an opportunity to participate in SERVE, a service project jointly hosted by Youth Ministries and Reach out America. Project details are still being finalized.
Registration for NAYC opened on March 10, and will remain open until the event concludes. A Connections Housing Confirmation Number is required to register. To learn more, visit northamericanyouthcongress.com/register.
The first North American Youth Congress was held in 1979 in Memphis, Tennessee. The event has grown steadily over the intervening decades, moving from convention centers to basketball arenas to football stadiums to accommodate growing attendance. NAYC is the largest event hosted by the United Pentecostal Church International or its ministries and is one of the largest Christian youth conferences in North America.
